P.A.L - Phase Alternating Line

Two Fields per Frame = 50 Fields per Second

Time Code Shoot - 01:00:00:00 = 1 Hours

Set Camera to 01:00:00:00 then press 'Record'
'0' is the First Number

Each Field has Two Frames



Time Code Shoot and T.O.D = Time Of Day

Example: 18:52:00:00

Setting up Cameras, synchronising them for the same time. This is called 'Jam Sync'.
This is Essential.

Jam Sync - Several Cameras, Same Time Code.

Label the SD Card! Label the, A, B, C, etc.

Example: Three Cameras - Wide (A), Mid (B), Close (C).


Follow the Director's instructions. Know how each Camera works, and what frame they use.

Before filming, import at 09:58:00:00

Bars and Tone:




Then 30 seconds before going live at 10:00:00:00

All of that is a TV Clock

























The Bars calibrate the colours and the tone calibrate the sound.
